Moon Festival Sky Photography

Happy Moon Festival, everyone!

The Moon Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, is a harvest festival celebrated mainly in China, Taiwan, and Vietnam. Today also marks the start of several other harvest festivals celebrated in other countries, such as お月見 in Japan and 추석 in Korea.

Though it is celebrated differently in different regions of the world, the Mid-Autumn Festival is commonly associated with observing and worshipping the full moon, harvesting crops and giving thanks for them, reuniting with family and/or returning to one’s hometown, and consuming specific foods such as mooncakes.

On this holiday, please enjoy these pictures of the moon, sunset, and twilight sky from a few days ago.

Travel and celebrate safely everyone!
